Websites for Parents
The following is a list of websites which parents of Junior and Senior Infants pupils may find useful ;
http://www.uptoten.com/ : This is site has both games and activities which focus on literacy and numeracy.
www.pppst.com : (Pete’s powerpoint station). A fantastic website for educational games, powerpoints and other activities. You need to trawl around a bit on the site initially but once you get used to it you can find just about any topic/subject you can think of on it. Very colourful and varied.
http://pbskids.org/dragonflytv/index.html : For curious children! Lots of science experiments and facts to explore.
http://www.topmarks.co.uk/Parents/ : Here you will find articles and features written by practising teachers designed to help with the education of your child.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/parents/ : Search for learning games, activities, or worksheets to help your child learn at home.
http://www.parents.org.uk/ : Helping at home tips for subjects on our curriculum.
https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/ : Advice and tips on safe internet usage.
I will add more websites to our list next term.
Thank you to a Senior Infant parent for this list of things to do in our area. It may come in handy over the Easter break!
